We are re-opening Saturday 4th July!

We are now operating a new one way entry/exit system and have safely spaced the tables throughout the pub.


  • All tables inside must be pre booked, for both food and drink, and we have no seating in the bar area.
  • We do have plenty of outdoor areas to enjoy though and these don’t need pre booking, but we ask that you please respect social distancing whilst using them to help protect everyone.
  • All areas will be regularly sanitised.

Heading east out of Derby on the A52 (Brian Clough Way) take the Ockbrook exit after around 4 miles (just after the Shell garage). At the end of the slip road turn left into Victoria Avenue. Follow this past the Queens Head pub and turn left at the T-junction. The Royal Oak is in a couple of hundred yards on the left.
